HIGGS, Betty Adina, age 93, of Thomasville, Georgia, formerly of Hollywood, Florida, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 26, 2018. She was born on January 13, 1925, in the beautiful island of Hopetown, Bahamas, to Anthony Carey and Maude Bethel. Betty dedicated her life to her family whom she loved with all her heart; her favorite events were the family gatherings at her home. She will be deeply missed but remembered with love. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her beloved husband, Walter L. Higgs, her son, Leroy Higgs, siblings, Winer Carey, Pauline Roberts, Millie Lleida and Gwenyth Chapman. She is survived by her loving son, Lloyd (Linda) Higgs; sister,  Thelma Roberts; daughter-in-law, Paula (Lynn) Jackson; her adored grandchildren, Teresa, Chantal (Gary), Sophia (Timothy) and great-grandchildren, Aimee, Andrew, Levi, Emma, Benjamin, Cody, Cooper and Mason. Visitation will take place on Saturday, September 29th, from 9:00-10:00 AM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, Hollywood Boulevard Chapel. Interment will follow at Dade South Memorial Park Cemetery.
