Roach, Betty Jean, 89, of Sunrise, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 22, 2014. Betty was born on May 28, 1924, in Seattle Washington, to the late Haskell Little and Loyce Hefner. After graduating High School, she studied and with hard work became a Teacher. She leaves behind to mourn her passing her loving children, Roger Toni Roach, Terry Nancy Roach, Laura Jim Breig and Gigi David Clark; grandchildren, Roger, Christy, Janelle, Chelsey, Shannon, Jamie, Michael and Kylie; and her great-grandchildren, Justin, Sophie, Ace, Josue and Sawyer. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014, from 6-10 p.m. at Boyd-Panciera Hollywood Boulevard Chapel. The Tributes of a Lifetime Service will be on Sunday, May 25, 10:30 a.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Park Cemetery.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Mrs. Roach! What a positive influence you were on our lives! Picking up all the neighborhood kids and taking us to Sunday School, Choir, GA’s, Vacation Bible school, all the youth activities, from elementary school to high school! Thank you for all the terrific memories!

Sending our daughter to First Baptist of Hialeah to attend school and to meet her teacher, Mrs. Roach was the first step that was taken to become members of the church and my husband, Tom being saved. From there we both became Sunday School teachers and members of the choir. We rejoice that she is with her Heavenly Father.
