Carole Driesch Sheridan, 81, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Hoyer of Donaueschingen, Germany, and Catherine Sheridan of Pembroke Pines. Carole is also survived by her granddaughters, Sandye and Samaya Hoyer of Donaueschingen, Germany. Carole was predeceased by her husband, Harry A. “Pat” Sheridan, her parents, Theodore W. and Lina Driesch and her brother, Theodore J. Driesch.

Carole was born on December 23, 1934, in Schenectady, NY, to Theodore and Lina Driesch. She grew up in Scotia, NY. Carole attended Scotia High School, graduating in 1952. She then went on to Cornell University, graduating in 1956 with a BS in Biology. Following graduation she worked at Bryn Mawr Hospital. In 1961, Carole worked at a laboratory in Aachen, Germany, living with her father’s family there and returning to her job in Bryn Mawr after 9 months.

On April 4, 1964, Carole married Harry Abel “Pat” Sheridan in Philadelphia. Their daughters, Susan and Cathy, were born on 1965 and 1966. After living in Havertown, PA, the family moved to Ewing, NJ, in July 1969. They soon joined Ewing Presbyterian Church where Carole sang in the choir and as a soloist. She and Pat also served the church as deacons and elders. In 1981, Pat’s job with the Red Cross necessitated a move to South Florida where they built a house in Miramar. In 1984, she began her career at Coulter Electronics where she worked for 20 years until retirement. She joined the Nova Singers over 30 years ago and only recently retired from singing.

Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016, 6:00 p.m. at Plantation Presbyterian Church, 901 NW 70th Avenue, Plantation, FL 33317.
