Haenel, Catherine “Betty” A., 87, of Hollywood passed away Monday, May 25. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years Roy “Bud” Haenel, daughter; Barbara , sister, Anna Etchells, and several nieces and nephews. Betty retired from the Broward County School System 25 years ago, following her retirement she devoted her time as the secretary for St. Maurice’s St. Vincent DePaul. Friends may visit from 6-9 PM, Thursday at Boyd’s-Panciera University Dr. Chapel. There will be a Prayer Service and Tributes of a Lifetime 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM, Friday, May. 29, at St. Maurice Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Lauderdale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to St. Maurice’s St. Vincent DePaul.
