Charles F. Cameron, Jr. (“Rusty”), 77, passed away on Wednesday, April 22. Born on December 7, 1948, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Geraldine and Charles F. Cameron, Sr.
At the age of nine, Rusty moved to South Florida, where he attended North Miami area schools and graduated from Miami Norland Senior High School, Class of 1966. He continued his education at Miami-Dade Junior College and the University of Miami, where he played college baseball as a pitcher.
Rusty built a long and successful career in interior construction spanning more than forty years, ultimately owning and operating his own interior contracting business.
A devoted sports fan, Rusty enjoyed playing golf and passionately supported his favorite teams, including the Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Florida Panthers.
Rusty is survived by his wife of 48 years, Beverly; his daughter, Jennifer; his son-in-law, David Ward; and his sisters, Jane Jones and Jean Young. He was preceded in death by his parents.
