In Loving Memory of Claudette Ann Marie Fraser
May 5, 1943 – August 20, 2026

Claudette Ann Marie Fraser passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving children and family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, and a source of unwavering love and strength to all who knew her.
Born on May 5, 1943, in Georgetown, Guyana, to Arthur and Kathleen Noel, Claudette was the eldest of six siblings: Bobby, Anita, Billy Collin, and Conrad. From a young age, she learned the values of hard work and perseverance as she helped her father in the marketplace while attending school. She grew up determined, resourceful, and filled with dreams of building a better life.
At sixteen, in 1960, Claudette embarked on a courageous journey to London, England, hoping to pursue a career in nursing. In 1961, she married Everet Fraser, and together they welcomed four children: Elizabeth, Andrew, Gordon, and Deborah, beginning the loving family that would become the heart and joy of her life. While in London, Claudette discovered a remarkable talent for sewing and spent years working as a seamstress. Her skill and creativity were recognized when the English actress Lulu personally praised one of her dresses.
In 1973, Claudette and her growing family moved to the United States and settled in Boston, Massachusetts, where her youngest children, Christopher, and Kathleen, were born. Always striving to better herself, Claudette took classes and eventually began working with Blue Cross Blue Shield, where she met her lifelong friend, Sandra Ferrell. Though she had many accomplishments, her greatest calling was motherhood. From their home on Draper Street in Dorchester, she raised her six children—Elizabeth, Andrew, Gordon, Deborah, Christopher, and Kathleen—while creating a home that welcomed not only family but friends, neighbors, and anyone in need of love, guidance, or a warm meal. Claudette helped raise many of the adults who cherish her memory today.
Between 1983 and 1995, Claudette and her family lived in New York, where they opened a Caribbean restaurant called Pompey’s on Rutland Road. When the building was sold, that chapter came to an end, but Claudette’s passion for feeding others continued. For the next twenty years, she and her family embraced their entrepreneurial spirit, selling Caribbean dishes, snow cones, hot dogs, ice cream, and more. Labor Day on Eastern Parkway became a cherished tradition, where Claudette and her loved ones gathered at the West Indian American Day Carnival to cook, celebrate, and share in the joy of community. Those years created treasured memories that will last for generations.
In 1995, Claudette relocated to Florida, where she purchased a home and spent the next 31 years in Broward County. There, she devoted her time to what mattered most: her children, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, family, and friends. Claudette believed deeply in generosity, often saying, “I may not have money, but I will always have food.” That belief shaped her life and the lives of those she fed.
Claudette leaves behind her beloved husband, Everet Fraser, and her children: Elizabeth; Andrew; Gordon and his wife, Nicole; Deborah; Christopher and his wife, Tina; and Kathleen. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jesse and his wife Selina, Nichole, Trellis, Cee Cee, Jordan, Kayla, Brooklyn, Kiana, Kyle, Artrena, Alexis, Arthur Jr., and Demetrius; as well as her greatgrandchildren Gabriella, Janice, Jesse, Marcus, Malani, Masiyah, Trinity, and Sinai. She was predeceased by her grandchildren Marcus and Keith. Claudette is also survived by her brothers George Noel and his wife Cheryl,Collin Tudor, and Conrad Noel. She was preceded in death by her sister Anita and brother Bobby. She leaves behind a large and loving extended family, including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
A special acknowledgment goes to her dear friends of more than 65 years—Lorraine and Bobby Barrett, Barbara Jackman, and Jean Griffith, Sandra Farrell, and Williams Family whose enduring friendship was a cherished gift in her life.
Claudette’s legacy was not defined by titles or possessions, but by the lives she nurtured, the people she fed, and the love she gave so freely. She taught those around her that generosity does not depend on wealth, that a shared meal brings people together, and that love is best shown through action. Her children returned that love to her in full, and it continues today through every child, grandchild, greatgrandchild, family member, and friend whose life she touched.
Though Claudette has left this earthly home, the memories she created, the lessons she shared, the laughter she spread, and the love she poured into the world will remain with us always.
Rest peacefully, Claudette.
