Cornelius William Macfarlan, born on November 15, 1932, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017. He was 84. A resident of Pembroke Pines, Florida. Neil is survived by his wife, Virginia Dolan Macfarlan; daughter, Joanne Macfarlan-Mulhern, husband Mike and 3 children, Colin, Casey and Catie Mulhern. Also daughter, Debra Macfarlan and husband Paul Katilas, and daughter Mary Ann Macfarlan-Sikorsky, son Ryan Sikorsky and his wife Jaime and daughter Kellie Sikorsky. Pre-deceased by son Neil William Macfarlan. Cornelius was a graduate of the 1954 University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN. He served proudly in the United States Marine Corps for 20 years and retired as a Lt. Col. in 1974. Neil was passoniate about Notre Dame football and basketball. He enjoyed spending time with his family at the beach and sing-a-longs of any kind. Funeral Mass for Cornelius will be held on August 18, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, followed by military burial service at South Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family request donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org. Arrangements by Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel

Thank you for the outpouring of love and friendship from all who surrounded my family during this sad time of losing my father. He lived a full life and we are blessed with wonderful memories and lifetime friendships. We will miss him forever ??
