David Scott Leibowitz, age 60, of Sunrise, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018. He was born and raised in Miami, Florida, the son of Harold Leeds and Ardele (Miles) Corthell.
After graduating High School, David enlisted in the US Air Force and proudly served until he was honorably discharged. He had a successful career in the Air Conditioning Industry as a Service Manager.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Susan Michelle Leibowitz; son, David Anthony Leibowitz; father, Hal Leeds and his wife Rita; sister, Kelly Evans; and brothers, Michael Leibowitz, Jack Corthell and Lil Dave Corthell. David is preceded in death by his mother, Bonajean Corthell, sister, Jan Birk and father-in-law, Edward Brannon.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, June 30th, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM with a tribute to David’s life starting at 3:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel.
His family will miss him deeply but are extremely grateful for the fun, loving time they shared with him.

Words cannot express the sadness and heartbreak we are feeling. Sending our love and prayers to Susie, David, and the rest of Dave’s family. We have lost a long time and trusted friend and colleague.
