Shields, David F., 58, of Miramar, died on Saturday, May 11, 2013. A native of S. Florida. He worked as a Train Engineer for CSX Railroad his entire life. He had a kind-hearted generous soul and witty sense of humor, with a penchant for “storytelling.” He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Emmet Shields. He was survived by his daughters, Tiffany Shields and Stephanie Shields; brother, Johnny Shields; sisters, Anita DiPasquale, Karon Icaro & Cheryle Fernandez; grandchildren, Isaiah, Caleb, Makayla & Vanessa; and his dear friend, Joanne Curran. He will be dearly missed by all . Visitation will be on Thursday, May 16, from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Boyd-Panciera Funeral Care, Hollywood Blvd. Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 p.m.at Nativity Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Lauderdale Memorial Park Cemetery.
