A TIME TO BE BORN: On November 30, 1947, Eddy Pierre–Jerome was born in Cap Haitien, Haiti to the late Hermann and Odette Pierre–Jerome. He completed his formal education in Haiti. While residing in Montreal, Canada, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Social Work.
A TIME TO LOVE: Eddy relocated to South Florida between 1994. In his spare time he enjoyed cooking, reading and listening to music. In 1997, he met his beloved wife Jan. They were married on August 31, 2005 and blended a family of 7 children into their union. His greatest love of all was his family and serving God. He was known to everyone as fatherly, kind and helpful. Eddy always took time out to help family and friends. He was loved by everyone and was a devoted husband, father, brother and friend to all that knew him.
A TIME TO SERVE: Eddy joined St. Bartholomew Catholic Church and was a faithful parishioner for over 20 years and served with joy.
A TIME TO WORK: Eddy moved to Chicago, Illinois and from there he resided in Montreal, Canada for 25 years. While there, he worked for Air Canada and raised his children
Valerie, Ludmilla, Enouse, Nancy, Melissa, Georgie. He later relocated to Florida and began his career at Jackson Memorial Health System as a Social worker. Although Eddy was a private person, he was known to a lot of people as a tireless worker. He was someone you could always count on and he would never say no to anyone.
A TIME TO LEAVE: On Tuesday, July 14, 2020, Eddy Pierre–Jerome went on to be with the Lord. We will miss him every day, and he will forever remain in our hearts. He has left us with an abundance of wonderful memories, and it has been a privilege to have had him in our lives.
A TIME TO MOURN: Eddy Pierre –Jerome passed away, age 72, at Hillcrest Nursing Facility in Hollywood, Florida. Eddy is survived by his loving and devoted wife Jan Pierre Jerome, his daughters Valerie, Ludmilla, Enouse, Nancy, Georgie and Amy, and his sisters, Yolande Pierre-Jerome, MonaLisa Pierre–Jerome and Claudette Pierre–Jerome. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great–grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. He will be happy to be reunited with his late daughter Melissa Pierre–Jerome.
With Eddy‘s passing, we are reminded to celebrate life and love each other unconditionally.
