To family and friends of Edna Shuker,

My sincere sympathies on the passing of Edna. I too, am so sorry to learn of the the passing of Edna. I am sorry that I did not know . . I have been researching, and researching the last year – the phone number I had for her had not been working anymore. I guess my last research was prior to her death, and so turned up nothing.

I had been wondering for some time what happened, where she went, and the story surrounding her end days. I was in touch until she went to a home for care, but then something must have changed with her contact info., for I was not able to get in touch.

I have wonderful memories of sharing times with her and my grandfather in my life, and we so looked forward to their visits way back when, in PA – during summers growing up. In their older years, and while I had a family of my own, I would try to get to see them when I could. I am so sad to learn, and now know that she has indeed passed on, without my ability to be in touch, recently. I guess – deep in my heart – I knew that something had happened.

To the family; she never spoke words of you all without so much love for you !! Sometimes it was hard to share conversation about anything else !! We were ‘family’ , but nothing like her own. But, I know that she and I had a special bond too. So sad.
