RANSOM, Edward Dow Pop-Pop , 88 of Hollywood, FL passed away Jan. 29, 2007. Born in Fairhaven, MA and moved to Miami in 1957. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Alice and youngest daughter, Janice. Edward is survived by his loving daughter Judy Harrell Maynor Frank and his very loving and caring grandson Shawn Patrick O’ Reilly Jeanette and two wonderful great- grandchildren, Craig James mother, Cindy and little Princess Kelsey Alice. A World War II veteran and Purple Heart Recipient, he spent a year in Paris, France recovering from near fatal injuries. He retired from Peoples Gas Co. TECO at age 70 and lived several years in Spring Hills, Fl. before returning to this area in 1996. He was a quite, sweet and caring Christian gentleman, who served as church deacon and elder. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed watching football, horse racing and NASCAR. He had a special sense of humor and was loved and respected by his many friends and family. He will be dearly missed by all. Arrangements by Boyd’s Family Funeral Home, Pembroke Pines. Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, February 1 at 2:00PM at Hollywood Memorial Gardens, North 3001 N. 72nd Avenue.
