What an honor to have serve by your side. Officer Erwin Fernandez was a dedicated police officer, colleague, and friend who devoted himself to protecting others.

Erwin had the important responsibility of safeguarding one of our schools, where he was more than just a police officer. He was a familiar and reassuring presence for the students, teachers, staff, and families he protected each day.

I had the privilege of working alongside Erwin, and I will always remember his kindness, dedication, and commitment to serving others. His passing leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, but the impact he made throughout his life and career will not be forgotten.

Rest in peace, my brother. Thank you for your service, your friendship, and for always being a kind-hearted person. May God bless you and bring strength and comfort to your beautiful family during this incredibly difficult time.

You served with honor, and you will be deeply missed. 💙🖤

Erwin, It was an honor and privilege of serve our community together. Throughout your career you wore the Doral Police Department badge with total integrity, humility, and an unwavering sense of duty. You showed up every single day and protected our most precious and vulnerable, our children and our schools. You were nothing less than exceptional at being a DPD School Resource Officer! You were dependable, calm under pressure, and deeply respected by everyone who knew you. Your smile was as big as your heart, and I will miss so you very much. You touched and mentored so many!! I have no doubt that you will live on in all of those hearts. We will forever carry your legacy and honor your name.

Oh, Erwin… my heart is truly broken. For you, for your family and loved ones, and for all the people whose lives you touched who now have to continue without your presence. You were a friend to so many, myself included. I will always remember your smile, your kindness, your generosity, and most of all, your unwavering faith. You lived a life of honor; you were God’s beloved son, and you carried that identity with grace and devotion. I am certain that with your final breath on earth came your first in the loving embrace of Jesus, who welcomed you home with the words, “Well done, my good and faithful son.”
Your legacy lives on in the hearts of all who will miss you deeply. We will carry your joy with us and keep your loved ones in our prayers. May God’s peace, comfort, and everlasting mercy surround us all — until we meet again, my friend.
