I do want to clear up one thing, Emil was born in Brooklyn, New York not Miami, he was very proud to be from New York. His two children, Michael and Amy, his niece Ann and I are still in a bit of shock as are our entire family and all of his friends. He will be greatly missed by us all. Thank you to all of his family members around this wide country who also have been expressing their love directly to us and here in this guestbook and all who attend the memorial tomorrow we wish we could hug you all personally. Pete has been your friend since school he tells of your many ‘adventures’, mine since 1967, and God Father to our eldest son, John. Everything they say about you is true, Jr. You always made sure that you kept in touch and let us know that you loved and cared for us. We are so sad and will miss you. True in your faith and love of God, we know that you are free from pain and hurt and are now basking in His Glory.

My condolences to all the friends and loved ones involved in Emils life. His passing is hard for many of us and I wish everyone a sense of comfort at some point in the future while we heal from this tremendous loss. Emil was my step-dad for 30 plus years. He helped and supported me in so many ways throughout my life. Emil made me feel like he always had my back. We had many good memories along the way and I was blessed to sit and reminisce with him at different times these last few weeks. I will miss Emil terribly but also cherish our friendship always. Words can’t express how thankful I am that God sent him our way. Thank you to all his friends for supporting him through the years and especially Skip for insuring Emils final wishes are met. RIP EPV

Emil was known to our family as JR or Junior.

He was about 10 years old when he moved next door to us. I was 5 years younger than him. He taught me to drive when I was 14, was like the older brother in high school he always had so many friends and made sure that I got to the church on time in a bad rain storm the day I got married. I have many wonderful memories of him. He was a friend in deed and a friend in need, as all we well know. He will be missed.
