Miller, Emmett Roland, 79, of North Miami, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Miller; daughters, Kathie Steve Andres & Lynn Rob Krug; son, Emmett Donna Miller; step-children, Dr. Gary Ursula Chierico, Charles Joelle Chierico, Richard Chierico & Diane Hector Moya; siblings, Bob Miller, Nola Ed Healy & Sylvia Pollard; 18 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2012, from 5-9 PM with a Tributes of a Lifetime Service at 8:00 PM, at Boyd-Panciera Hollywood Blvd. Chapel. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, June 22, 2012, 11:00 Am, at St. Patricks Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Park Cemetery.

It’s hard to believe that Uncle Roland won’t be there when I come to visit Florida. I will miss him always.

Dear Family, I was so saddened to hear of Roland’s passing. He was a good man than was loved by so many. When he was a young child, my mother, “Aunt Hazel” babysat for him sometimes, and on one occassion she scolded him for some mis-deed and he looked up at her with those beautiful blue eyes, and said “I love you Sweetie Pie”. Well, after melting her heart, I doubt there was any punishment. But I truly believe that Roland is with “Sweetie Pie” now. May some of the wonderful memories you have of Roland comfort you and ease the pain in your heart. Love, Hazel
