Paulk, Ethel A., 72, of Sunrise, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2012. She is survived by her sons, Arthur Paulk and his wife, Kathryn & Donald Paulk and his wife, Cherise; and grandchildren, Brayden, Dylan & Hayley Paulk. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012, from 11am-1pm with a Tributes of a Lifetime Service at 1:00 PM, at Boyd-Panciera University Drive Chapel. Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Park Cemetery.

Allene was a special friend of mine when we lived in Florida, and a colleague at the Brief Therapy Institute trainings. She enriched my life so much, with her wisdom and humor; and we shared a love for God’s Word. This passage describes my Allene: “Clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all togeher in perfect harmony” Colossians 3:11-13, NLT.

Allene was able to harness her creative and intelligence and compassion to help many people lead more enriching lives– both as an educator and psychotherapist. She has left this world in a better place.
