Florence Lerner, 87, of Boynton Beach, F.L., passed away peacefully on October 10, 2015.
Florence was born on December 7, 1927 in Brooklyn, N.Y., where she was brought up by her beloved parents Harry and Esther Rothblatt. In 1951, she moved to Cranford, N.J. with her late husband Daniel to raise their family. In 1980, they moved to Scottsdale, A.Z. They later relocated to Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and Lake Worth, FL.
Florence was a very active homemaker and volunteer. She was a former Sisterhood President at Temple Beth-El in Cranford. While in Arizona, she was a museum docent. She was most proud of her work as an advocate for children when she served as a Guardian ad Litem in Florida.
Her family and friends describe her as a vibrant woman with an eye for style, who made friends wherever she went.
Florence was predeceased by her husband, Daniel, as well as her dear brother Murray. She is survived by her three loving children and their families: Bonnie and her husband, Larry Rosenberg, of Newton, M.A.; Michael and his partner, Laurie Burman, of Brecksville, OH.; and Neal and his wife, Tania Baker, of Brookline, MA.
She is also survived by her 8 cherished grandchildren, Rachel Jason, Jaclyn, Sara, Sophie Mike, Emma, Eli, Hannah, and Clay, and one great-grandchild, Anastasia.
Arrangements are under the direction of Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care.
A private memorial service will be held in Massachusetts in November.
