In Loving Memory of Frances Jean Gillen

November 12, 1960 – June 1, 2026

Frances Jean Gillen of Hollywood, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, on November 12, 1960, Frances was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas James Gillen and Rose Ann Gillen. She loved her Brooklyn upbringing and worked as a legal secretary in Manhattan before moving to Florida, where she embraced the beach life she loved so much.

Frances found joy in the sunshine, the ocean, and turtles. She especially loved taking long walks along Hollywood Beach. She was the biggest J-E-T-S fan you could ever meet. But most importantly she was a kind and caring person who was always there when someone needed a friend, a listening ear, or a helping hand.

Her greatest pride and joy was her family. Frances was the devoted mother of John (Priscella), Victor (Stephanie), Casey, Jessica (Jermone), Nikki, Danielle, Emmitt (Anh), Thomas (Sarah), and Isaiah. She was also a loving grandmother to 15 grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure.

She is survived by her sisters, Maryanne (Phil) and Eileen (Tommy), her brother, Thomas (Alexis), her children, grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas James Gillen and Rose Ann Gillen, and her brother, William Gillen.

Frances will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her loving heart, her strength, and the countless lives she touched. Though she is no longer with us, the love she shared and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her forever.
