Francis “Laurell” Johnston, 83, of North Miami Beach, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Laurell was a family oriented man that loved life. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and was stationed at the Pentagon during the Korean War. Laurell then went on to work in the airline industry for the next 40 years which afforded him the opportunity to travel the world with his wife. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda, son Mark, son Larry Sandy, daughter April, Grandchildren Casey, Samantha Ryan, & Adam, great-grandchildren Darrien, Kaejon, Katelynn, Allyson & Connor. Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 16, 2015, from 7-9 p.m. at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel in Pembroke Pines. Graveside Service with Military Honors will be on Friday, April 17, 10:45 a.m. at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society in his name.
