Dearest Judy, You will probably remember that Fred and I trained together on the MD-11 and then flew the Pacific for four years together. My wife, Phyllis and I attended your phenomenal wedding taken place on a river boat. Fred was an exemplary gentleman and aviator. He was the very best. We love you both. This is very sad for all who love you and Fred.

I flew with Fred a great deal back in 1991 and 1992 when we were both based in Portland. Fred was a delightful person, and a great traveling companion. I always enjoyed my time with Fred and my memories of flying with him.

It is sad for all of us to realize that Fred is gone. But his grin and personna will forever be with us. Because of our close senority, we flew with some of the same old "Legends" of Miami. It was always a kick when Fred and I discussed our experiences of the aerobatics of that crowd! I can only smile at those thoughts while standing and saluting a great guy. We all miss ya Fred!
