We are all so sorry for your lost. In the few years we knew George we grew very fond of him, and will miss him too. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family during this time of grieving.
We explained to Lily about his passing as best we could, for a four year old. She understood to some extent, but wanted to give him a hug and a kiss before he went to heaven to live for ever. We told her that God and George will be looking down at her and all of us to make sure we are doing OK as we grow older. Lily knows that he loved and cared for her very much.
Hopefully, the family can take some solace in that he is at peace and no longer suffering.
