The Neyra Family is inviting to celebrate the life of Hugo H. Neyra, who passed away on August 17, 2026, at his Florida home peacefully surrounded by family. Mr. Neyra was born on December 29, 1945, in Chiclayo, Peru, to Manuel and Maria Neyra.
He attended G.U.E. Pedro A. Labarthe High School and became a Music Marching Band Leader in 1963. He continued his education at Universidad Mayor de San Marcos in Economy.
In 1970 he took his big challenge moving to USA to continue his studies and explore new opportunities. He graduated as bachelor’s in administration and marketing at Southern Connecticut State College. He started his professional career as branch Manager in Puerto Rico for an Electronic Corporation. Mr. Neyra as part of his career traveled for different countries opening with success different market opportunities. Mr. Neyra love sports, especially soccer, enjoyed music and played keyboard and trumpet, he also liked arts and paint. He founded Casa Hispana in Stamford Connecticut in 1975 bringing together different Latin culture from South, Central and North America. He was very active leader in this organization and expose our culture through dances, music, food and traditions to the USA community.
Hugo Neyra will be deeply missed by his loving wife Mayra and his children, Brian, Hugo Jr. Jean Pierre, Stephanie, and Diego; his grandchildren Julian, Fabian, Jean Pierre Jr., Bella, Juan Diego and Francisco.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 20th, from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel. Funeral Service will begin at 4:00 PM.
Guests are invited to bring some memories to share.
