We were lucky to have Jim in our Life as a friend and neighbor. Many Great years Metal Detecting on the beaches of South Florida. Lots of laughs putting up Hurricane shutters, Christmas Lights, etc.,etc. A very caring person for others and always offering to help!!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. Jim was a dear cousin. Growing up, I lived with my grandmother Jim’s Aunt Dorothea, Bud’s sister and enjoyed his visits very much. His warmth, kindness, and genuine goodness always made the day special. God bless you, as He already has, with Jim, as we know he’s reunited with Fr. Miguel and their parents in timeless grace with God. Love, Jeana and Dan Elmore, Erik, Colin, and Bridget

I spoke with Jim by phone about 2 months ago I had interupted a card game but he went outside and we had our usual conversation on life in general. I always asked how his daughter Tiffany and grandson Andrew were doing and he would ask me about my son Sean as he rescued him from Easter Break back in 1988. His voice sounded a little weak but I thought it was just a cold. He didn’t tell me he was sick and that is the way Jim wanted it to end not feeling sorry for him. Sleep well my friend I loved you like my brother. Pat

Jimmy was always the first one to offer to help. He was a wonderful husband to Geri, and he took such good care of her, and everyone in the family. I have no doubt that he earned his wings and is up there helping God take care of everyone.

Jimmy has been the greatest grandpa a kid could ask for. He was a great man that put taking care of his wife and children before himself. I’ll miss you forever Jimmy. I love you.

I met Jim when we were going to dealer school together. I learned he was a firefighter and was retiring soon. I was a retired detective from Alaska. We hit it off immediately and there was never a dull conversation. The short time I was fortunate to be friends with Jim I learned not only what a devoted man he was to the community but family meant everything to him. You can not say enough nice things about Jim and he will be greatly missed my myself and many others. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. He truly is one of the good guys.

Impressions

We leave our foot print on this Earth

Starting on a journey from our birth

Learning from life’s challenges as we grow

Leaving impressions as we go

Helping others along the way

Praying for guidance day by day

And when God calls us from above

Our impression is left on the ones we love
