It is with a heavy heart we announce the untimely passing of our beloved James George Mellides. James passed on March 18, 2018, just a day before his 29th birthday. He was born in Flushing, New York, to Theodore M. Mellides and Katherine D. (Soulotis) Mellides on March 19, 1989. After graduating High School, James attended college and started his career as a Carpenter. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and dear friends. He is survived by his parents, Theodore and Katherine; brother, Michael James Mellides and his wife Diana; great uncle, Jimmy Petras; aunt and uncle, Merle Souloyis-Burke, Pete Mellides and his wife Joanne; nephew, Daniel Mellides; cousins, Erin and Eamon; and godmother, Connie. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 23, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel. Tribute of a Lifetime Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, March 24, 11:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, followed by burial at Lauderdale Memorial Park Cemetery.
