Joan M. Di Franco, age 72 years, of Hollywood started her new life with the Lord on February 22 ,2018.  She was known as Joni by her friends and family. Joni will be dearly remembered by her sister Elaine McDonald, Niece Karen Whalen, Nephews Anthony Cicic, Steven and Sean McDonald  and sister in law Patrice McDonald.  She was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband Jack, parents Alfred and Mary McDonald; brother Raymond & Dennis McDonald niece Megan McDonald.  Joni loved living in Florida and enjoyed the beach, had a passion for teaching that included ballroom dancing.  She had a real artistic flair that she expressed in charcoal drawings and watercolor paintings.  Joni was very proud of her country and was very patriotic.  Family and friends may visit from 2-5 PM, Wednesday at Boyd-Panciera Hollywood Blvd. Chapel.  Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 8, at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery Chapel.  Entombment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations to Wounded Warriors Project or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital would be appreciated.
