On Sunday, November 5, 2017, another angel arrived in heaven, Dr. John Benito Sanchez, 86, passed away. Cherished husband, adored father and loved by all,
John was a man of strong faith and a devoted family man.

He was always encouraging and uplifting others, lit up the room with his laughter, told a great story, plotted creative practical jokes, enjoyed mischief, loved a good party and social gathering, and sang and danced to enjoy life to the fullest. John was a former school administrator in the Dade County School District. He was also a college professor, and a Director of the Upward Bound program at UM.
He proudly served as a marine.

John is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce Sanchez, daughters, son and sons in law, Joyce (Gigi) Hervey and her husband Paul, Jeanne Tunon and her husband John, John Monroe Sanchez, and Janet Erin Sanchez. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren, Christopher Tunon, George Hervey and Tracy Cabezas and her husband Israel as well as their children Daniel, Isabella and Jacob.

John was always kind and generous in spirit. We will forever be grateful for having him as the wind beneath our wings.

A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017, 4:00 PM at Plantation United Methodist Church, 1001 NW 70th Avenue, Plantation, FL 33313. Arrangements entrusted to Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel.
