John J. Arter, 57, of Pompano Beach, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017. He was born in Danville, New Jersey, to parents Harold Arter and Joan (Bennett) Arter. John was a Sergeant in the US Army and proudly served between 1977 to 1981, after being honorably discharged from the armed forces, John became a cable installer until retirement. He is survived by his son, John Arter, Jr; sister, Linda Curtis; and step-father, Anthony Ash. A military service will take place on Monday, June 26, 2017, 2:30 p.m. at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.
