BREKKA, John Allen “Jack”, 84, of Pembroke Pines, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, December 21, 2016. He was born on March 9, 1932, in Syracuse, New York, to the late Terj Brekka and Bernadine Allen. He proudly served in the US Navy, and worked as a system operator for over 28 years at Eastern Airline. Preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Brekka. Jack is survived by his wife of 8 years, Carole B. Johnson; sons, John (Flora) Brekka and Christopher (Carolyn) Brekka; and step-daughters, Gena Barthel and Sharon Behrens. We will celebrate Jack’s life with a Tributes of a Lifetime Service on Friday, December 23, 2016, from 6-7 p.m. at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, Hollywood Boulevard Chapel.
