Khayata, John, 83, of Pembroke Pines passed away Sunday, October 12. He is survived by his wife Yvonne Khayata, 5 children; John Khayata, Gina, Mary Patterson, Yvette Khayata, Mark Khayata, Debbie, Michael Khayata, and 7 grandchildren. Friends may visit from 4-8 PM, Thursday at Boyd’s Hollywood Blvd. Chapel. There will be a Prayer Service 7:00 PM, Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, Oct. 17, at Hollywood Memorial Gardens. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens.

Greetings and peace. First of all, so sorry to hear of your great loss. Secondly, I am not sure if if this is the Johnny Khayata who lived in Cuba in the mid to late 50’s? He worked for a hotel or apartment complex we lived in, as a bartender I believe, and also had a background in precious stones. Anyway, if so, my father and him were good friends at the time. My father always spoke highly of him. If not, forgive me for intruding, but my condolences are with you anyway. That is all. Peace…
