SANCHEZ, Jose Luis “Toby”, a long time resident of Pembroke Pines, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 2, 2015, after 98 wonderful years of life. Jose was born on November 24, 1916, in the beautiful island of San Juan, PR. He was the son of the late Pedro Sanchez-Colon and Maria Sanchez nee Nieves. Jose honorably served in the US Naval Service between 1944-1946. He, then, married the love of his life, sharing a beautiful life together and building their own family. Jose will always be fondly remembered by his children, Joey Sanchez, Gilbert Sanchez, Belinda Ryland, Peter Berkey, Emma Claude Noriega, Edwin Jorge, Joni Cabrera; and his beloved grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Friday, April 10, 2015, starting at 10:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at the Mother of the Redeemer Church. Entombment will follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
