CATONE, Joseph, 88, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, long time resident of Pembroke Pines, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, February 2, 2017. He was born in Braddock, Pennsylvania, to parents Peter Joseph and Josephine Catone. Joseph proudly served in the US Navy as an Airman from 1946-1948. He then, worked as a carrier for the postal service until retirement. He is survived by his wife, Viola Catone; daughters, Kathy (Roger) Kirschenpfad; sons, Joe (Donna) Catone, Chuck (Lori) Catone, John (Helen) Catone; brother, Peter Catone; sister, Anna Marie Spennato; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, form 5-7 p.m. at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel. Tributes of a Lifetime Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 9, 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ, 5880 West Park Road, Hollywood, FL. Interment will Military Honors will follow at South Florida National Cemetery.

As the tears have fallen from our eyes, we miss our dear friend & brother. Today the angels in heaven rejoice filling the sky with a glorious sound as our brother has gone home. Joe was a dear friend, who gave service to God & to ours in love & charity. He will be missed, I will miss him. Joe, welcome home to your glorious mansion.
