Joyce Faye Lilly was born on February 24, 1941 in Gurley, Alabama. She had an older brother George as well as her parents, Maude and Claude Lilly. Joyce loved children and fostered a few before officially adopting Beverly Lynne when she was six years old. In 1971 Joyce met and fell in love with Joe Malone who had two young kids that needed a mother. It was a perfect fit. They became a happy family that grew and prospered through the years. Joyce had a big place in her heart for animals and nature. Her dream was to have a log cabin in the mountains with a tin roof so that she could always hear the rain. She loved the rain so much that she would sleep on the patio during a hurricane to be closer to the storm. It?s her wish to have her ashes scattered in the water on a rainy day. Her wish will be granted by the love of her life and soul mate, Joe.
What else can we say about our beloved Joyce? She was so generous, warm and caring with an unselfish heart. She was a great listener, always there to dish out logical advise to the many that had her on speed dial when they needed a good chat about life. She always let you know that she cared. Even when her health was down in recent months, she still called and checked up on others that she knew needed some caring attention. She was a loving devoted wife, mother and grandmother. There are no words to adequately describe how much she will be missed by her family and friends. Sleep peacefully now dearest Joyce, your struggles are over.
