Brand, Joyce L, 74, of Hollywood passed away Monday, March 2. She was preceded by her parents; Everett and Bertha Mae Lyles, her brother; Billy Joe Lyles and her sister; Brenda Constance. She is survived by her husband William Brand, 3 children; Greg Brand, Florence, William K. Brand, Michael Brand, 2 grandchildren; Matthew Brand and Erin Madison Jason, 2 great grandchildren; Katie and Giana, 3 brothers; Charles Lyles, David Lyles, and Danny Lyles, and 1 sister; Louann Allen. Funeral service will be held in Greenwood, Indiana at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens on Saturday, March 7, 2009.

Joyce is my mother. She was always my guardian angel. The hardest thing in my life that I ever had to do was to say goodbye to her. My heart is just a piece of hers, she taught me how to love. My only comfort is to know she is with our Lord, and she is no longer suffering the pain of Altzheimer’s. When I lost you, Mom, it felt like my heart was ripped out of my chest. I love you so much.

Ms. Brand was one of the kindest, warmest, amazing woman I have met in my life. She made quite an impact in my life and I will always remember her with fondness and appreciation.
Her grace continues to live in all the people she met.
