Juana Velazquez Bonilla

June 23, 1935~September 02, 2026

Dear Family and Friends,

It is with deep sadness that I share the passing of our beloved mother, Juana Velazquez Bonilla.

Juana was born on June 23, 1935, in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, to Anacleto Velazquez and Anastacia Garcia, and was raised alongside her five siblings. From her humble beginnings, she was raised with a strong faith, knowing that God in heaven is the creator of all things. On the evening of September 2, 2026, after faithfully completing the assignment God gave her at birth, He called her back home to His kingdom.

Mom believed that to succeed in life, one had to get a good education, work hard, and remain persistent—and she lived her life by those exact principles. In 1963, she made the courageous decision to move to Chicago seeking a better future for us all, later relocating to New York where she dedicated herself to working in the communications industry.

She was a great daughter, mother, sister, and friend. Mom was a true warrior of immense strength and character—a caretaker and provider who never complained.

We will all miss her dearly. Until we meet again, rest in peace, Mom. We love you.

A Visitation is to be held on Friday September 11, 2026 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, located at 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024.
