Louis Turturro passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011, after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Bari, Italy on May 29, 1931. He will always be remembered as a man who would do anything for his wife, children and grandchildren. He was an avid boater, diver and fisherman and shared his love for the ocean with his family, especially his 10 grandsons. He taught air conditioning in the Dade county school system. He also ran a successful air conditioning business where he helped many young men get a start in their careers. He was a Korean War veteran and proudly served his country. He is survived by his wife Anna, daughters AnnMarie and Phyllis, son Vincent and their spouses Joel, Larry and Adrianne. He is also survived by his 10 grandsons, Anthony, Michael, Chase, Joseph, Jake, Matthew, Ian, Nicholas, Ryan and Christian. He was a wonderful husband, father, friend and most of all a grandfather who would go to the end of the earth to make his grandchildren happy. He was loved by all and will be missed forever. Memorial Mass will be Saturday, June 4, 2011, 10:00 am, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Blue Heron Drive, Hallandale Beach.
