Ober, Margaret “Peggy” Moran, 78, of Pembroke Pines, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2010 at Hospice by the Sea in Boca Raton. Originally from Rockaway Beach, NY, she moved to Miami in the 1950’s where she worked as a Professional Secretary until her retirement. Peggy is preceded in death by son, Mark S. Carlsen; brother, Jack Moran, and parents John & Nellie Moran. Survived by her devoted husband of 44 years, Ernest “Charlie” Ober; children, Donna Moran Mark Schacht, Larry Wanda Ober, and Scott Carlsen; grandchildren, Marc Nespoli and Lori Ober; sisters, Mary Walter Engstrom and Anna Moran; brothers, Michael Linda Moran and Donald Moran, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank mom’s caregivers, Kenia Ortiz, Jackie, Maria, the wonderful nurses, aides and staff of Hospice by the Sea. Peggy will always be remembered for her love of cats and was fondly known as the “Cat Lady”. In her memory, donations can be made to the Humane Society of Broward, 2070 Griffin Rd., Ft.
