I remember Aunt Maria as a strong, working woman who doted on her family. I hope she and Uncle Leo are resting peacefully in Heaven.

March 24,2018: My dear cousin Maria Dandegian Banossian will be remembered in a memorial service. Her family and friends will be there to honor her. My daughter Denise and I cannot be there in person. We will be there in spirit. Maria was born in Cuba. Her father was my father’s nephew. My father brought Maria and her parents to America to live with my family. They stayed with us until my Uncle Charlie bought a house and opened his shoe repair business. Every Sunday Maria and her parents would be at our house for dinner. Maria and I had a close relationship, though she was 8 years older then me. Maria was happy, and her happiness increased when she married Levon and then when Roseanne and Leon came into her life. {and later her 3 grandchildren} Maria and her family moved to Florida. From then on we kept in touch by phone and mail. At one point, she and the family family came back for a visit and stayed with us. Denise and I will miss her, as her family and friends will also. It is comforting to know that she is now with her family, in Gods care. Goodbye Maria, may you rest in peace, Love Margie and Denise.
