I remember Aunt Martha as being very sweet and kind to everyone. She was a gentle person and liked to laugh. I have missed seeing her for the last few years.

I always remember Aunt Martha and how supportive she was to our family, especially my mom, Catherine, her sister. I loved the stories of how they were living together at Mother and Father’s during the war and were expecting babies around the same time. Martha, being a nurse, was present at the delivery of Catherine’s first baby, Stefan. Martha had already delivered her own first and second children and had been in on a number of other deliveries. Catherine loved to tell the story that even with all of that experience she passed out when seeing her “little” sister deliver her baby! Catherine also told us about all the things they did while pregnant, including wall papering and painting the house! I really appreciated Martha and her visit out to Oregon, because it meant so much to Catherine. When we lived in Florida at the same time, I loved our visits to the Gray’s house. It was so much fun being with our Gray cousins!
