Marvin Dwight Brautigam-Beer was born on February 2, 1957 to Fernando Brautigam and Daisy Beer in San Jose, Costa Rica where he spent his early years. The family moved to Bluefields, Nicaragua where Marvin Dwight would develop friendships that would last a lifetime.

Marvin Dwight was an Alumni at Colegio Moravo and graduated from Instituto Cristobal Colon, both in Bluefields. He also studied at Instituto Pedagogico De Manugua, Nicaragua. He migrated to the USA in 1977 where he graduated from Florida International University with a degree from the School of Health Service Administration in 1998.

Circuit City was his employer for many years until they closed. He then transferred to Carmax for a short time. Marvin Dwight joined Brandsmart USA in Miami, Florida on November 17, 2003. He remained there up until his passing.

Marvin Dwight was a loving Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Brother, Cousin, Uncle and Friend to many. He was a fighter and fought a good fight against multiple health challenges. He lost his fight on Sunday, April 16, 2023.

He was a believer in Jesus Christ . His loving mother, Daisy, taught him to pray the “Gentle Jesus Meek and Mild” prayer from when he was a child. His favorite hymn was “Shall We Gather at the River”. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized on Saturday, February 18, 2023.

Marvin Dwight and former spouse Jeannette Bent had three children: Neysa, Dwight Robert (wife Cheryl) and Stephanie. Ten grandchildren: Angelica, Jeayanie, Emily, Nayeli, Chris, Damian, Dwight Robert Jr, Joshua, Eric, Natasha, and one precious great grand-grandchild, Jessanie. His children sum up their sentiments for their Father with these touching words, “We wish we had more time together. Mito will surely be missed. His legacy lives on through his precious children.” Marvin Dwight also leaves behind, among his loving family and loyal friends, six siblings: Oscar (Rip), Martha, Nora, Kenneth, Elsie, Fernando, and Jerry; 28 nieces and nephews and 45 grand nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life Services were held.
