Marotta, Mary R., 100, a long time resident of Hollywood, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 12, 2014. Mary was born to Arniello and Rose Rossi on September 22, 1913, in New York City, NY. Besides her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph Marotta. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her niece, Gail Tindale and grand-niece, Dawn Ferreri. A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, June 20, 10:00 a.m. at St. Maurice Catholic Church, 441 NE 2nd Street, Dania, FL 33004. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hollywood, FL. “She has now reunited with the love of her life.”

I knew Mary and Joseph during my childhood at a lake house where they also had a house. They were very special to me and treated me like a daughter. I saw them both again in Hollywood when I was in my 20’s but lost touch with mary after Joseph’s death. I always remember how much they loved eachother and how he was the center of her world. For some reason I thought if them today and when I googled Mary’s name, learned of her recent passing . I hold a special spot on my heart for them both and understand that she is now finally back with the love hlof her life…..so strange that she was in my thoughts today and I learned of her recent death.
