Mascold Andrew Francios known as “Chick” was born in the beautiful island of the commonwealth of Dominica to Vernie Royer and Griffith Andrew Francios on January 17, 1941. He attended Ports-Mouth St. John’s School. He met the love of his life in Dominica and at the age of 26, he migrated to St. Croix, Virgin Islands where they got married Out of their union came three beautiful children; Cheryl, Dave, and the late Cathleen. He was a devoted husband and father.
He was a carpenter by trade and was very great at what he did. He loved traveling. He traveled to Tortola and worked there and worked in Hess Oil Company located in St. Croix. Years later, he traveled to Boston and there he attained a degree in Architecture. He believed in working to his best abilities and did it with pride. Wanting a better life for his family, he moved to Florida in 1982.
Mascold was a funny individual and he could make you laugh until you cried. He was humble, reserved, kind, generous and if he had to give you the clothes on his back, he would. He was a well-educated man and assisted people with important paperwork that they couldn’t have understood. Mascold was always willing to help anyone in need. He helped many individuals migrate into this county. Many lived in his home till they could find their own way.
Although he was legally blind, he moved in his home as if he could have seen everything. Being the carpenter that he was, he always wanted to fix things around the house. He loved caring for his great grandkids making sure they ate and were kept safe. His favorite sport was the West Indian Sport, Cricket. He loved listening to music, His favorite artist were Bob Marley and Sparrow. He kept up with all the latest technology and had only the best devices in his home.
In December of 2019, Mascold was admitted to the hospital. He got better and was discharged home. On May 6, 2020, he was readmitted into the hospital. Unfortunately, he never returned home. His final day came on October 2, 2020.

And a host of other loving family members and friends.
A Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM and a Religious Service beginning at 12:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, 6400 Hollywood Florida, Hollywood Florida 33024. Burial will immediately follow at Vista Memorial Park, 14200 NW 57th Avenue, Miami Florida.
