Philip David Felson, 76, of Fort Lauderdale, passed away peacefully after a short illness at Memorial Hospital West. A native Miamian, Philip earned his Accounting degree from the University of Miami in 1981 and went on to build a successful CPA practice that he proudly operated for more than 45 years.
Philip met the love of his life, Lynnie Levenson, at the University of Miami in 1972. They married on January 19, 1975, in the beautiful surroundings of Vizcaya Gardens. Together, Philip and Lynn built a loving family and raised their two children, Michelle Renee Felson and Michael David Felson.
A man of many talents, Philip was a gifted businessman and CPA, a creative and enthusiastic cook, a devoted husband and father, and the loving caretaker of his three beloved Irish Setters—Sundance, Sundance 2, and Benny. He was a loyal and invaluable friend to many and a compassionate, empathetic listener to his clients, friends, and family. Philip was also known for his quick wit, wonderful sense of humor, and ability to bring laughter to those around him. Philip treasured traveling the world with Lynn and their children, creating countless cherished memories along the way. Above all else, his greatest passions were his family, his dogs, and his many friends.
Philip survives by his beloved wife, Lynn; his daughter, Michelle, and her husband, Angel Cintron; his son, Michael, and his wife, Callie Dunne; his brother, Ronald Felson; and his nephew, Andrew Felson.
In Philip’s memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Healing Paws, 854 East Oakland Park Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33334. Website: www.healingpawsfl.com Phone: 954-833-0427
