With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Raquel “Rocky” Bermudez, who peacefully entered eternal rest on June 23, 2026, at the age of 63, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Rocky fought her illness with remarkable strength, unwavering faith, and enduring hope. Even in her most difficult days, she remained steadfast in her belief that God had a greater plan for her life. Her courage and grace inspired everyone around her and became a testament to her resilient and beautiful spirit.
To know Rocky was to love her. She was a gentle and compassionate soul whose heart knew no bounds. She had a deep love for her many beloved pets and found great joy in caring for them. Her kindness extended far beyond animals—she was always ready to lend a helping hand, offer comforting words, or open her heart to anyone in need. She was a nurturer by nature and a supporter of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Rocky brought light and joy wherever she went. She was truly the life of the party, known for her radiant smile, infectious laughter, and love of dancing. She had a special gift for making others feel welcome, loved, and celebrated. Her presence could brighten any room, and her spirit left an unforgettable impression on all who crossed her path.
She is lovingly survived by her devoted eternal love, Carey McIntosh; her beloved siblings, Luz Marie, Raymond, Virginia, Ana, and Gladys; and her cherished nieces and nephews, Rafael, Enrique, Nicholas, Sabrina, Joseph, Shawn, Eduardo, Joshua, Natasha, and Samantha. She also leaves behind 27 grandnieces and grandnephews and one great-grandniece, all of whom were blessed by her love, guidance, and unwavering support.
Rocky’s legacy is one of unconditional love, faith, and generosity. She was a source of strength for her family and friends, always encouraging others, offering comfort during difficult times, and celebrating the joys of life with those she loved. She taught those around her the importance of compassion, hope, and caring for one another.
Though her earthly journey has ended, her love and the countless memories she created will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew her. We take comfort in knowing that she is now free from pain and resting in eternal peace.
