McGilvra, Richard Alfred, 87, of Southwest Ranches, FL, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2017. Born in Chicago, Illinois, on September 17, 1930, the son of the late Leonard McGilvra and Florence (Clark) McGilvra. He honorably served in the US Army as a Corporal between 1948-1950. Pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Rose McGilvra in 2011 and his son, Steven McGilvra. Survived by daughter, Laura Rosa; grandson, Steven Ross; and brother, Douglas McGilvra. Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, 12:45 PM at South Florida National Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel.
