I will miss my morning phone calls from Dick. We talked every morning Monday through Friday to keep up on our daily news, aches and pains. Always ending our call with “see you tomorrow!” We did a lot together when I was little because he took me under his wing and treated me like a little brother. And as the years went on we still did things together. Jane Ellen and I spent many great times with Dick and Anne in Florida and have many wonderful memories. We will miss him, but we do have our great memories.

Dear Anne and family,

My condolences to you all. I will always remember Dick giving me hell for kissing all the guys before making my way over to him. I can hear his voice shouting out to Anne to ask for something referring to her as “HONEY!!!!!” He’d say jump and she’d say how high. He always had a story to tell, but even if I’d heard it before it was still fun to hear him tell it again. He enjoyed company and loved having parties. A good man is gone from this earth but his memory and legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved him. Love you!

I would like to offer my deepest sympathies to you. Although we haven’t met, all of us have experienced the loss of a loved one. I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that you are never alone. Turn to the Holy Scriptures for guidance and to help soothe your heart. Psalms 34;18 assures us that God is near to those broken at heart and crushed in spirit. Please accept my deepest sympathies.
