Rick was one of the kindest, most caring people I have met. He gave the best care to his mom, and was always there for her, no matter how tired he was. I was taking care of my ill mother in my home for years, and he always offered his help, and was so concerned when my mom passed away in January. He didn’t like to complain, and always wished he could do more for his mom. I will miss seeing him sitting outside with his mom, or walking her down the street so she could get some fresh air. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the opportunity to know him well, but I always respected him for his dedication to his mom. Everyone in the neighborhood will miss his big smile, and sharing a few minutes with him and Sammy on their walks, or waving to him as he passed by in the car with his mom, taking her on outings. He was a pleasure to know and a good, decent human being. Rick, I wish you had more time to enjoy your life on earth, but rest in peace knowing you did the right thing by being there for your mom. I know she will never forget that. My sympathy to all of Rick’s family and friends, especially to Mary and little Sammy.
