Richard (Rich) Ross Kane, 61, of Davie, FL passed away unexpectedly due to health complications on Tuesday, June 13, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Jean Kane, and brother, Robert. He is survived by his daughter, Robin Kane Folk (Mike), grandson, Henry Folk, sister, Judy Kane, and his beloved partner of 18 years, Peggy Sogegian. A life-long Florida resident, Rich was born at St. Francis Hospital in Miami Beach in 1956. He attended Miami Norland Elementary, Junior, and Senior High, and was a proud graduate of the University of Floridain 1979. An avid fan of the Miami Dolphins, Miami Heat, and Florida Gators teams, Rich enjoyed discussing all sports with anyone he encountered. Rich was the owner of “Bagel Mania” in Davie, a popular eatery during the 90’s and 2000’s. After his restaurant career, Rich started a new venture, “A to B Delivery,” a courier service to assist the elderly. A private service was held for the family. Those wishing to make a donation to honor Rich may consider giving to the University of Florida Athletic Dept. or the Southeast Guide Dogs in his memory.
