Rita M. Cooney, age 90, born in Ossining, New York, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, in Hollywood. 

Born in 1928, the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth MacDonald. Rita was a well educated, intelligent and strong woman. She graduated high school, continued her education until completing a Masters Degree in education. 

She will always be fondly remembered with love by her son, Thomas J. Cooney, her former students, colleagues, and extended family. 

Per her request, no service will be held. Arrangements under the care of Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, Hollywood Boulevard Chapel.
