Rita Mae Twardy, age 84, a resident of Hollywood, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Friday, November 2, 2018. Rita was born on August 28, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Frank and Caroline Sergel. After graduating high school she worked as a waitress for many years. Survived by her beloved husband, Raymond J. Twardy; and her three loving sons, John Twardy, Jimmy Twardy and Jeffrey Twardy. As an act of love, Rita wished for her body to be donated to the Anatomical Board in the State of Florida for medical research and to help educate our future doctors.
