Coyle, Robert F. “Bobby,” 64, passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 8, 2012, at his Southwest Ranches home, surrounded by family. Bobby was born in Providence, RI, and moved to Florida in 1957. He was an electrician for over 40 years and a proud member of the IBEW Local Union 349. Bobby was a fixture in Florida Stock Car Racing since the 1960’s. He was honored to be inducted into the first class of the Hialeah Speedway Hall of Fame in 2010. A huge family man, he is survived by his wife Ronna; 4 children; Jason Crystal, Ryan Sara, Christine & Shannon; and 3 grandchildren Lily, Kell, & Molly. A Tributes of a Lifetime service will be Saturday 5:30 PM, at the funeral home, where family and friends will gather from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. The family suggests memorial donations be sent to: The Victory Junction Gang Camp, www.victoryjunction.org.

Bobby was a class act in and out of a race car. He raced hard and clean and never had a bad word for anyone.

Bobby was one of my first racing childhood heroes. I loved watching that orange 237 racing with Bobby behind the wheel. It was always a pleasure to be able to speak to him in the pits. I will never forget you Bobby, you were a great man…. RIP

To the Coyle Family,please know that my most heartfelt condolences go out to you. Bobby was a wonderful man who always had a great outlook on life. During the time i was privileged to work with Bobby he was always willing to take the time to explain things to an apprentice who wasnt always sure what a job entailed. I always enjoyed stories about the IBEW, about his racing days and seeing him drive at hialeah.His family was his number one priority and you could tell that by the way he talked at work.Im blessed i was able to have Bobby in my life along with the memories. Bobby was a good man, always had a smile and mild temperment, for a race car driver that is very rare, I first met Bobby when I worked at car 84 garage, I remember watching him race at Hialeah and Hollywood Speedway, Was one of the best… My wife and I know his wife Rhonda, but have lost touch with both for many years… Heard of this sad news through a friend.

I just found this and am very sorry to hear it.I raced with Bobby at Hialeah before he left to devote his time to Electrical school. He told me he would come back after school and I was happy to follow him in his racimg times.
Today is a sad day but his memory still shines
